I feel that as a first time volunteer dental student with no experience of this kind of work you offered an excellent balance of guidance, leadership but also of easygoingness and humor that meant it felt OK that we didn't
totally know what we were doing! It also meant i learned a great deal from the whole experience, and I'm confident the other students did too.
Your experience and ability to make the most of our surroundings and limited facilities was evident from the off. I guess this also comes from your general optimism in life that became apparent too. I feel like after working in those environments I have so much knowledge to apply to dentistry back here even though it's so different. This is definitely down to you making it such a positive experience.
