VIETNAM PROJECT

We hope to bring free dental services and dental health education to the children and adults living in different parts of Vietnam.  By providing dental treatment we can remove pain and suffering caused from tooth infection.  By providing dental health education we can teach our patients how to take care of their own dental health and prevent dental diseases and pain in the future.

Total patients served:  8,588 elementary school students, and families with children under 4 participated in our 2 week dental program.

Every volunteer on the team self finances the trip, paying for the entire cost of the trip with their own money, giving their time and expertise as well as contributing money for dental medical supplies, gifts of school supplies and toys to all of our patients, gifts and stipends to all local helpers.  Contributions from volunteers and fund raising collection during the year:

$24,000.00 – 36,000.00 US

Estimate value of dental services, reconstruction surgery procedures, gifts of dental home care packages, school supplies, wheelchairs, monetary gifts to individual and families, and dental health education provided to tens of thousands of patients throughout the year by DDS4Kids organization:

$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 US per year

We continuously attempt to join hands with other humanitarian organizations and volunteers to reach more rural villages in different corners of the globe in the hope of making a small difference in helping people living with less pain and better health.

Dr. Lan Jones also volunteers in local public health projects wherever she lives since 1985 until present.  It is her lifelong passion and commitment as a dentist.
